Almost 500 artists taking part in this year’s incredible Eastside Culture Crawl in Vancouver
It’s that time of year again, the 23rd annual Eastside Culture Crawl is back and bigger than ever. It’s the event where you never know what you’ll stumble upon!
Boasting almost 500 artists exhibiting in over 80 locations, the Eastside Culture Crawl is the highlight of the season. From November 14 – 17, local artists in Vancouver’s Eastside open their doors to give you an inside look into their creative world.
This fantastic, four-day festival of visual arts, design, and crafts features painters, sculptors, photographers, potters, and other creatives.
More than 45,000 visitors take part in this festival – located in the most densely populated community of artists across Canada.
Starting on Thursday evening and running until Sunday night, the 2019 Eastside Culture Crawl offers something for everyone.
You can take a look through the entire Eastside Culture Crawl map to plan out your route, but sometimes it can be more fun just to wander around the general area and see where the wind takes you.
The event and the artist’s homes are only open at the following times:
Thursday & Friday ……. 5pm-10pm
Saturday & Sunday ……11am-6pm
If you’re on the hunt for a new, unique piece of art, jewellery or craftwork, this is the perfect time to find something you’ll likely never see anywhere else. (Hello, perfect holiday gift for the person who’s impossible to buy something for!)
Have a kid in tow? The Eastside Culture Crawl is fun for all ages. There’s even a free afternoon of hands-on crafts for kids to create unique art of their own at Melk studios.
For the best crawl experience, make sure you install the official app. You’ll be able to flag the artists you can’t miss with the mapping feature.
